In today’s digital age, not many schools in Nigeria teach coding in early childhood resulting in a major gap in the requirements of the new world and our children’s skills. 1010 Coding introduces and prepares your 6-18 years old kids for this new coding world. They learn fundamentals of coding, such as logic, structure, sequence and algorithmic thinking, to generate creative outcomes like animations and mobile app creation. All classes are taught Live one-on-one to enhance your kid’s experience or in groups of 4 to make it more fun for them working with their friends, Online in the comfort of your home by selected tutors based in the US and course content experts with an international curriculum regularly updated to accommodate frequent changes in the tech world.

Hear about our Founders!

Azeezat Otulana and Vikrant Lakhanpal grew up in different continents, but they share similar experiences and goals to improve the quality of lives for people around the world. This led them to create a unique online learning platform, designed for secondary school students and revered by parents. At an early age, Azeezat and Vikrant realized the potential and opportunities presented by the advancements in science and technology and strove to equip themselves with necessary skills to succeed in this digital age.

When they both came to the United States to get their advanced degrees, they found it daunting to adjust to the curriculum that included a lot of basics in coding and data analytics, of which they did not have easy access to while in their home countries. With help from tutoring and working twice as hard, they were able to adjust and excel in the courses that required coding.

Azeezat has over 5 years of experience tutoring kids programming, math, engineering basics and English as a second language. Vikrant has over 5 years of experience mentoring High School Seniors on career counselling and life skills after secondary school. Azeezat and Vikrant both have a master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston and are currently working with an independent oil and gas company in Texas, applying their knowledge of coding and data analytics in their everyday lives.

Seeing how coding is useful in all career paths now, 1010 Coding was built to prep kids for the future, showing them a path to success by teaching them to start early and learn by doing. Connected to credible instructors based in the US, with course materials from US curriculum tailored to Nigerian understanding, 1010 students develop the creativity, confidence, and grit required to become future 1010 instructors and tomorrow’s leaders.
