Our first note speaker, Azeezat has over 5 years of experience tutoring kids programming, math, engineering basics and English as a second language. She currently works as a Reservoir Engineer with an independent oil & gas producing company based in Houston, Texas, applying her knowledge of coding and data analytics, focusing on brown field development, reserves estimation, developing transformative solutions for mature fields by combining subject matter expertise and technology, evaluating oil and gas assets for acquisition, and preparing divestment packages. She holds a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from University of Houston, USA and a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
Our second speaker, Vikrant Lakhanpal, is currently involved with the Society of Petroleum Engineers in various roles and also mentors first-generation college students to help them stay on track for graduation and build a bright future ahead. He holds a bachelors and a masters degree in petroleum engineering from UPES, India and University of Houston, USA. Over the past 5+ years, he has been involved in improving the bottom line of an independent oil and gas production company in Houston by utilizing subject matter expertise and harnessing the power of analytics and process automation. He has also worked at Well Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Automation (WERCIA) at University of Houston. He co-established the research center at the University of Houston and assembled a team of over 10 industry experts with a focus on providing a platform for incoming students and finding new technological solutions and their field implementation. He is also the lead content creator for Technical Topics at The Way Ahead (TWA) magazine. Vikrant also holds 7 tier 1 technical publications and 2 technology patents.
